1. I follow the naturalist philosophy; that is, that the natural universe is the only reality.
2. There is no acceptable evidence for the existence of any gods, devils, souls, heaven or hell.
3. The goal of ethics and morals should be the happiness and well being of all people.
4. Church and state should be kept separate.
5. Reason, observation, experience and science, not faith, are the paths to understanding.
6. Everyone has a right to his or her own beliefs, but no one has a right to impose those beliefs on others.
7. For our own well being and that of future generations we must take care of our home, the planet Earth, and the life on it.
8. An open, democratic society that protects the rights of minorities is the only fair and just society.
9. Negotiation, not violence, is the way to solve problems between individuals, societies and nations.
